Lee C. McGowan CFA, CFP®

President & Senior Wealth Advisor

As President, CCO and Senior Wealth Advisor of Monument Group Wealth Advisors and Co-Founder of Monument Group Tax Advisors, Lee provides financial planning and wealth management services to high net worth families.

With over 20 years of experience as a financial advisor, Lee helps a broad spectrum of individuals and families balance their long-term goals with their day-to-day financial decisions.

He has experience helping those nearing retirement align their resources with their lifestyle objectives and helping others explore the implications of decisions such as selling a business, purchasing a vacation property or beginning a new career. Lee also has experience helping senior executives develop and implement strategies for managing concentrated stock positions. The result of the planning exercise for clients is a general level of comfort knowing that their finances are in order and that they have an ongoing, supportive sounding board to discuss and analyze current and future financial decisions. 

Lee was selected as a Five Star Wealth Manager* in 2012, 2013, 2015, 2016 and 2017 as seen in Boston Magazine. He has written articles and provided commentary for a number of publications including The Wall Street Journal, CNBC, The Boston Globe, The New York Times, Investor's Business Daily, Journal of Financial Planning, Concord Journal, and Mystockoptions.com. He is a member of The National Association of Personal Financial Advisors (NAPFA), the CFA Institute, the Boston Estate Planning Council and the Financial Planning Association. Lee is a former member of the Journal of Financial Planning's Advisory Board and served as the Guide to Mutual Funds at About.com. He is Treasurer and on the Board of Directors at the Goodnow Library Foundation and is a corporator at Emerson Hospital.

Lee received his B.A. from Hanover College in 1993 and is a graduate of the Financial Services Institute at Northeastern University and the College for Financial Planning. He is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ practitioner, a CFA® charterholder and a NAPFA-Registered Financial Advisor. Lee also completed the Certified College Planning Specialist coursework and examination. Prior to joining Monument Group Wealth Advisors, Lee was a Vice President and Senior Client Advisor at TFC Financial Management in Boston.

Lee and his wife, Rose, live in Sudbury and enjoy watching their two daughters participate in the performing arts and other activities.

Peter R. Johnson JD

Attorney, Partner

Peter R. Johnson joined Woodman & Eaton in 1990. He received his Bachelor of Arts in English Literature, magna cum laude, from Keene State College in 1982 and his J.D. cum laude from Boston College in 1986.

Peter has practiced estate planning, estate administration and trust administration law since 1986. Prior to joining Woodman & Eaton he was an estate planning associate in a large law firm in Springfield, Massachusetts. Peter has served as a corporator of Emerson Hospital, Concord, Massachusetts, as a member of the American Cancer Society's Springfield chapter, and as a board member and president of a nonprofit, elder retirement home (Concord Alternative Residence, Inc.) in Concord. Peter is a member of the Massachusetts and Boston Bar Associations. He is active in the promotion of youth sports and has served as a board member and president of his town's youth soccer program, as well as a youth soccer coach and an alpine ski racing coach.

Peter lives in Stow, Massachusetts, with his wife, Carol, and their two children. His personal interests include music, alpine ski racing, water-skiing and soccer.

Pamela J.M. Dixon

Paralegal

Pamela Dixon joined Monument’s affiliated law firm of Woodman & Eaton in 1980. She is Byron Woodman’s personal assistant as well as works in the estate planning area- and supports many aspects of Monument’s operations.

She completed her Paralegal studies at both Northeastern University and Bentley College. Pam has also participated in The Strategic Coach Assistant Program.

Pam lives in Chelmsford, Massachusetts and has two grown sons. Her personal interests include her love of animals (Pam volunteers at the Lowell Humane Society), reading, gardening, beading and she is an avid New England sports fan.

Lauren Donahue

Director of Finance and Human Resources

Lauren Donahue is Director of Finance and Human Resources for the Monument Group Companies. In this role, Lauren manages the financial and employee related affairs for the three companies.

Before joining The Monument Group Companies in 2011, Lauren worked for a diverse range of organizations including the management consulting firm Pile and Company, Children’s Hospital Boston and the Acton Children’s School. In these roles, Lauren was responsible for budgeting and finance, marketing, event planning and human resources. Lauren’s varied background in business management, finance, human resources and project management provided the perfect foundation for her position with The Monument Group Companies.

Lauren lives in Stow, MA with her husband and two children. She enjoys spending time with her family outdoors and volunteering in her community through various organizations.

Jason Fitzgerald

Paralegal

Trust and Estate Administration Paralegal

Jason joined Woodman & Eaton in 2015 as a trust and estate administration paralegal.

Prior to joining Woodman & Eaton, Jason worked as an estate administration paralegal for Locke Lord Edwards in Boston for 8 years.

Jason resides in Melrose with his wife. In his free time he enjoys sailing and traveling.

Kimberly Kuhn

Portfolio Administrator

Kim joined the Woodman & Eaton team in 2014 as a trust and estate administration paralegal. In 2018, she made the switch over to the Monument Group Wealth team as a portfolio administrator. With her strong background in trust and estates, this new role is proving to be a great fit and an excellent opportunity for growth within the Monument Group Companies.

Kim earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of New Hampshire. Before coming to Concord she worked at two different Boston law firms focusing on real estate, corporate and estate law over a span of about 11 years.

Kim lives in Acton with her husband, two young boys and their two dogs. With her much shorter commute she is now able to spend more time playing with her kids, running, singing and walking her dogs.

Michael J. Paquin EA

Tax Manager & Trust Administrator

Michael is a Tax Manager at Monument Group Tax Advisors and a Trust Administrator at Woodman & Eaton. He joined the firm in February 2015. He received a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy from Bentley College in May 1994 and he is an IRS Enrolled Agent (EA).

Michael has over 20 years of public accounting experience in a variety of industries. Michael spent most of his career providing tax and business guidance to closely held family businesses as well as high net worth individuals and families. He is a specific resource to our firm in the area of individual tax planning including preparation and review of trusts and personal tax returns. Michael also has an active role in the Trust and Estate Administration department.

Michael is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Massachusetts Society of Certified Public Accountants, National Association of Enrolled Agents and the Massachusetts Society of Enrolled Agents.

Michael lives in Wilmington, Massachusetts. His personal interests include a love of automobiles, antiques and collecting postwar Lionel toy trains. He has been collecting for several years and maintains a layout that he enjoys working on in his free time with his father.
