Byron WoodmanByron E. Woodman, Jr. received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Boston University in 1966, his J.D. from Suffolk University in 1969, and his L.L.M. in Taxation from Boston University in 1976. He is a Co-Founder of Monument Financial Advisors, L.L.C., a registered investment advisor that provides clients with financial planning and asset management services. Byron is also a Co-Founder of The Monument Group Fiduciaries, L.L.C. a company that provides support services to trustees.

Byron has practiced estate planning and tax law since 1970. Prior to founding Woodman & Eaton in 1980, Byron was a partner in the Boston law firm formerly known as Sherburne, Powers & Needham, now Holland & Knight. He is a Director of the Cambridge Trust Company and a member of the Emerson Hospital Board of Directors. For six years Byron was a Trustee of the Fenn School of Concord; and for twelve years he served as President of the Community Agency Corporation. Byron also served as Chairman of the Concord-Carlisle Scholarship Fund for eight years. He is an Eagle Scout and currently assists the Boston Minuteman Council of the Boy Scouts of America with its fundraising and development plans. Before joining private legal practice, Byron served as a Captain in the U.S. Army. Since 1983 Byron has practiced as a member of teams made up of professionals that provide services to wealthy families, including Family Office Services. Byron is an Accredited Estate Planner with the National Association of Estate Planners and Councils.

Byron is a co-Author of “Personal Financial Planning,” Brickhouse Publishing Co. (1987), “Personal Financial Planning, an Audio Cassette Program,” Concord Educational Corporation (1983), and “Generations,” Esperiti Peterson Institute, Inc. (1999). He is a member of the Boston, Massachusetts and American Bar Associations.

A lifelong resident of Concord, Massachusetts, Byron has two grown children and lives in Concord with his wife Kelvey. His personal interests include skiing, golfing, and horseback riding.

Byron practices in the areas of Estate Planning, Wealth Strategies Design, Trust Funding, Estate Administration, Trust Administration, Executor Services and Trustee Services.
